Project Update

I have just completed Verse Two of the music video and plan on posting some of the keyframe that I have so that people can get an idea of how the song and story fit together.

I have been testing out other graphics programs to that I will be using to do "The Changin Time" (Burial at See, The Fortelling, Of The Chosen and To Be Born Agian) that are directly related to the song. The programs I now use are AmigaForever (WinUAE) to run the next two Amiga Programs on my Windows System, Personal Paint for the animation of sections of key frames, Perfect Paint to convert the sections from 256 color to 24 bit quicktime movie segemnts and ArcSoft's Showbiz2 to glue the movie segemnts and other graphics and the audio tract together.

The reason why I am looking into using othe programs is that Personal Paint does not have layers, Perfect Paint is not that perfect, no layers and some of the function that it is suposed to have do not work but I could atleast peice the frames together. It is also a hassle to have to jump back and forth between the to operating systems.

The reason why I need layers is that in order to do cell animation, it is easier to use a layer for each graphics element such as background, foreground and characters and their props instead of layering in all on the same screen. This is why this version of the music video has limited backgrounds and such, you make a mistake in how you pose one of the characters or their props and cut them out, you end up taking the ground layer out with it and have to replace them along with what you would be changing.

I will also be using 3D modeling dfor the main characters so that they can be posed, instead of having to do cut outs of them in fixed positions and then piece them back together so that they are posed for the scenes in the postions that I want them to be.
